If you are interested PM to see the messages!
Individuals involved: M family V family
Story: V is a kiddo who i would say likes to rough house and play hard. During out gym time he likes to rough house with 4 other boys. M on the other case complains all the time. We have told him many times to play with someone else or the girls if you do not like to play super heros.
Due to covid I am not in the gym and I help give other staff breaks. So my co teacher watches them. I personally don't like when the 4 boys rough house but co teacher is ok with it. I am not there to see any incidents or accidents.
As M was leaving to go home he pulls aside dad and says V hit him on the head. M dad asks me kindly to have a quick chat and then begins to bombard me and begins to be very verbally aggressive towards me and not willing to listen to anything I have to say. I then ignore father and talked to his son instead who was hiding behind a wall unwilling to talk to me. But I continued to ignore the belligerent father and ask M to please tell me next time when he gets hurt so I know how to help. Father walks off angry.
I tried letting the father know that the school has incident reports we conduct when issues arise, I have not seen v hit m today because I was off doing breaks to other staff and after nap he was playing with another student NOT v. But like I said he ignored everything I said and just didn't listen.
Moments later his wife bombards us with awful messages saying we accuse her son of lying and now he has all these bruies and says we r not a safe school. Just Awful words. She then calls Vs mother and verbally abuses her. Because they r "friends".
We have mentioned to M multiple times when you feel hurt please come talk to your teachers. But nothing is working or clicking. Our last result was to then let mom know we have to separate him from the rest of the boys and V.
This is NOT the first time: First time was a week ago and same child he told him mom this time V kicked his face. But whole he was getting picked up he pulls a sad face and pouts. Mother and i were trying to ask him what was wrong but he would tell us until he got to the exit of the building. Mom also inappropriatly pulling me off to aside to have a "quick" chat while I have kids in a room. No brusis the first time and this time that we saw.
MY THEORY! (I am not accusing M of lying WAT SO EVER) A week prior to today i caught someone smudging soap all of the bathroom mirror. None of the boys admitted it so we let it go.
Today i have caught M playing with soap, making a huge mess, and asked him to clean it up. He got so upset and hid in his nap blanket afterwards. Like he understood he messed up.
Is he trying to cover up when he gets in trouble with made up stories or situations that have happened in the past?!
PLAN WE HAVE FOR NOW: -ABC behavior form for every situation he and staff and friends he encounters that cause issues or problems -daily body examinations b4 arriving to school, take pictures and log. -he must only play with girls since they do not rough house and play kindly. Since he can not tell us what happens.
I am at wits end and I want to call off rest if the week.

2022.01.19 01:13 system_root_420 Stop the honk when I walk away
I just got a 2014 XTS which I feel romantic love for, except that it honks when I walk away from it. And three times if I have the nerve to get out and leave it running. It is annoying and it bugs my neighbors. Can I turn this "feature" off?

2022.01.19 01:13 lilmisse85 Fixing an iPhone 13 Pro Max?
Ok so, I have insurance for my phone thru Verizon and I wasn’t able to sign up for Apple Care or whatever it’s called. I had/have a screen protector on my phone and I dropped it and it hit something literally right where the whole for the top speaker is. So there was a slit in the protector for the speaker and go figure it hit right there and cracked my screen. It’s just a few very thin lines going across the top of my phone. But I want to get it fixed incase I ever drop it again because I know from experience if you drop an already cracked phone your looking at way more money to fix/replace.
Anyone know how much it costs at Verizon to get my screen fixed? It’s $320 at Apple. I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max.

2022.01.19 01:13 Comprehensive-Sea-63 At what point do we need to be concerned about attention seeking behavior?
FD9 has been with us for about 8 months. The attention seeking behaviors have been extreme. To the point where she disrupts class to be the center of attention. If we enroll her in ballet, she will follow the teacher around instead of participating with the class. She monopolizes my time nonstop to the point where I miss meals. We’ve been working on this and have seen some improvement. Here’s the part that’s… bizarre.
One of her meds causes occasional bed wetting. This is true. She also has occasional nightmares. When she first arrived, she started using the nightmares to get attention and woke us up every night at about 1-2 in the morning claiming she had a nightmare. We started to get suspicious and it became apparent that she just wanted attention and wasn’t having nightmares anymore (she also pretended to sleep at school and claimed she had a nightmare when she was awake the whole time according to the teacher). She later admitted that she starting making it up and wasn’t really having nightmares.
She recently started doing the same thing with bed wetting. She started waking us up around the same time claiming she wet the bed. But every time we went to check, the bed would be bone dry. I made a comment to her about how the bed was always dry, and the next night there was a giant wet spot. But then she starts telling me a story about how a little girl was wetting the bed but “she wasn’t really she was doing it on purpose.” She asked if she could pack extra clothes in case she had an accident at school and I made a comment that she’s never had an accident during the day before. All of a sudden, she has an “accident” at school that day for the first time ever.
Finally, I stopped letting her wake us. I put a mattress on the floor in her room and I told her she could not wake us anymore. If she had an accident, she was to clean herself off and change clothes and tell us in the morning and we would clean her bed then.
As soon as she was no longer allowed to wake us, the accidents abruptly stopped.
This child… peed herself for attention? I just don’t understand. Is this kind of thing common among foster kids? Does the attention seeking ever get better? This is our first placement.
Yes she is in therapy.
